About the event
It’s back, by popular demand… Murder, Mystery and Mayhem! (with new information added).
The local history walk that delves into unexpected, unusual and unsolved events from Crowmarsh Gifford’s lively past. Walks will take place on Sundays 4th and 11th August. We will gather at 2pm on the Crowmarsh Gifford side of Wallingford Bridge (behind the bollards at the top of the former riverside park access road). Please bring weather-appropriate footwear, as part of the walk will be in the water meadows. The walk will end either at Crowmarsh Gifford Recreation Ground or (for those who wish to continue) at St Mary Magdalene’s Church, where afternoon tea will be served (gluten-free and vegan options available).
Cash-only payments on the day, please: £15 per person (shorter walk only – 1.5 hours approx.) or £20 per person (walk to the church with afternoon tea – 2 hours approx.). All proceeds will go to Crowmarsh church. For further details, please contact Edwina Johnson, 01491 832266 or email edwina.johnson@ntlworld.com.
