With Professor Jonathan Conlin – Immigration detention: a view from inside
Professor Jonathan Conlin is a migrant who teaches History at the University of Southampton. From 2008-2024 he made weekly visits inside IRC Harmondsworth, a secure immigration detention facility next to Heathrow Airport, as a volunteer befriender under the aegis of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS). He is currently writing a history of Heathrow Airport.
